BLUEBERRIES & HAY

Hay: baled and in the barn, price is $10/bale this year.  Prefer to sell locally through September and the remaining inventory will be sold overseas.  This hay has been spray, chemical and fertilizer free for 22 years. Organic farmers usually spray 8 sprays per year on most of their crops.  Albeit, organic they are still sprays and we don't spray or spread anything.  The quality of our soil, peat mixed with Tromp loam, allows us to farm without fertilizer.  We might force more production with commercial fertilizer but the flavor, and food safety of the crops would not be the same.   One farmer took our hay to the NW Washington Fair last year and told us the horses ate the hay, licked up the chaff from the trough and would not touch the "other" hay.  He said they stood waiting for more of the GOOD STUFF.

Blueberries: the taste test on blueberries from our farm and our neighbors conventionally grown farm convinced us that we are producing crops that are better and we originally produced chemical free crops for the health and safety factor but now we know they also taste better.  Price is $1.50 U-PICK and $3.00 PICKED this year.  Free delivery Seattle to Vancouver BC.

Please bring kids, bikes, a blanket and lunch basket when you come to UPick Blueberries.  We love to share this beautiful 111 year family farm so come and enjoy.

We currently have 1,000 bales of hay available for sale.  Our crops have been spray, chemical and fertilizer free for 22 years.  Blueberries will be ready approx. We deliver picked berries for $3.00 per pound.  Daily deliveries from Blaine to Seattle.  Blueberries travel well so we are able to ship anywhere in the world.   For the 10 orders we were not able to ship last year, your fruit will be shipped first.  Thank you for your patience as we fell short on product to meet our orders.
